Health experts say that the majority of the time, food poisoning occurs when we’re outside our homes. That is, when we eat at restaurants, delis, or cafeterias, or when we buy a quick bite from a street vendor. Food poisoning can usually be treated at home if the symptoms are not severe. Keep your body hydrated, drink water, broth, or an electrolyte solution, which will replace the minerals that you lose with vomiting and diarrhea. Avoid drinking caffeine or fizzy drink, or spicy and fatty food as they can make the condition even worse.
